Development of an electronic CoViD Sensor | CoVSens

Funding period:Aug. 1, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2022
Agency: SAB

Acknowledgements

We acknowledge funding by the SAB project "Development of an electronic CoViD Sensor" (CoVSens, grant agreement ID: 100525920)

Description

The project aims at developing an electronic biosensor platform for the detection of novel coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2) and to quantify the disease state of patients suffering from COVID-19. The current outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated global demand for large-scale and rapid diagnostic technologies demonstrate the enormous and urgent need for reliable and highly sensitive electronic biodetection methods. These can detect virus particles within minutes by a thorough biomolecular analysis.
